Who we are

Scuba Haven is a guesthouse operated by Maksha Maldives Pvt Ltd (company registration no. C06472025), “Blue Moon”, Bodufannu Magu, Dhoondigan, Fuvahmulah 18011, Maldives. Information we collect

• Enquiries and bookings: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, number of guests, diving certification level and any requests you send us.
• Information needed to deliver your trip: details required to book domestic flights, dives and transfers for you, such as names as they appear on passports and dates of birth, and arrival and departure details.
• Payments: records of deposits and payments. Card payments made through a payment link are processed by the payment provider; we do not see or store your full card number.
• Website use: when you visit this site, we and our analytics providers collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, using cookies or similar technologies. See “Cookies” below.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry, prepare quotations and manage your booking (to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform it).
• To arrange flights, dives, transfers and meals with our partners on your behalf (performance of contract).
• To keep accounting and tax records and meet other legal obligations.
• To understand how visitors use our website and improve it (with your consent, where required).
• To send you occasional news or offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to provide your trip or run our business, including with:

• Partner dive centres, airlines, transfer and boat operators, and restaurants that deliver services in your booking.
• Banks and payment providers that process your deposit or payments.
• Our website host and technology providers (for example our hosting provider, Google Analytics and WordPress/Jetpack services) and messaging services such as WhatsApp and email.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law (for example guest registration requirements in the Maldives).

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of the providers we use are based outside the Maldives and outside the European Economic Area, so your information may be processed in other countries. Where we use such providers, we rely on their standard safeguards for international data transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide your stay and to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when they are no longer needed. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to work properly and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how it is used. When you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Our cookie policy lists the cookies we use.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy of it. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to the people who need it to manage your booking. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
