— OUR STORY
Scuba-Haven
Scuba Haven is a boutique six-room guesthouse on Fuvahmulah the only island in the Maldives where tiger sharks can be encountered every month of the year.
— HOW IT STARTED
We opened our doors in 2016 with a simple idea: world-class diving shouldn’t require a big resort. Just a comfortable bed, honest island food, and a five-minute boat ride to one of the most famous shark dives on the planet.
Scuba Haven is a boutique six-room guesthouse on Fuvahmulah the only island in the Maldives where tiger sharks can be encountered every month of the year.
We are Partnered with the island’s top dive centers, and take care of everything from airport pickup to your final logbook entry. Our small size is deliberate with just six rooms and a maximum of 20 divers per boat, every guest gets personal attention, flexible schedules, and a team that knows your name by breakfast on day one.
— OUR MISSION
Sustainable tourism, funded by sharks that stay alive.
Every booking contributes to Fuvahmulah’s shark research levy and local guide training. We believe the Fuvahmulah tiger sharks are worth more, for longer, alive in the water than anywhere else and we run our business to prove that case with numbers, not slogans.
— What makes us different
The ocean here gives more than diving. Fuvahmulah is famous across the Maldives for kattelhi a prized deepwater fish found only in the waters around our island. In the evenings, our speedboat heads out the way local fishermen have for generations: lines dropped deep as the sun goes down, back at the harbour by night with the day’s catch. Dive with tiger sharks in the morning, fish for kattelhi at sunset, and taste your catch prepared the traditional Fuvahmulah way it’s a day you can only have here.
Between adventures, the island itself is worth exploring. As a one-island atoll unlike anywhere else in the Maldives, Fuvahmulah has freshwater lakes, black pebble beaches, and a community that still lives at island pace. Our team is from here, and we love showing guests the Fuvahmulah beyond the dive sites.
Whether you’re chasing your first tiger shark encounter, your hundredth dive, or a fish story no one back home will believe, we’ll make sure the only thing you have to think about is tomorrow’s trip.
One Island. Two Adventures.
